Oratio

I started a new series of characters for a children's animation. Oratio is my first character. I cannot say I am overly pleased with him but it is a start to a new series and that is always a good thing. At the end of the day it takes a lot of work usually to have a great result. I have done a pencil drawing and a colour marker drawing. I do not like the use of the marker. The pencil drawing is quite nice, one can see the sensitivity of the drawing coming across but I think the colour marker version is too crude. I believe the next step is to find a happy medium between sensitivity and colour. The character was created last week.

Ratio is a kind-hearted truck driver. He is driving alone all day and all night and because he has all this time to think about the world and intelligent stuff he is extra smart. The few moments he has for himself to relax and interact with his friends he always ends up saving the moment with his wise advice.
